Aguero contract situation

He'll be out in front as our record scorer by then. He will be in the top 10 by the end of the season, first player to break in to that since the early 70s. We were so shit for most of my lifetime!!!!!

Hope we don't get Suarez.

What an utter prick he is

He be our prick though!!

Not seen much of his behaviour since he's been at Barcelona. Is he still as much of an obnoxious diving twat or is he just scoring for fun?

Brilliant news this. I know he's said before he wants to go home whilst he's still in his prime, so having him into his 30's is brilliant for us and hopefully he can stay fit enough to establish himself as our top scorer. I think he loves City just as much as someone like Zabba does. a genuine world class talent that could play for any club in the world and we've had the privilege of having him here for what will be pretty much his entire career and certainly through his prime. Not once has he ever complained or looked to leave despite us failing in Europe. players like him deserve to be at a club that's going to win the champs league, I hope Pep can bring that for the likes of him and also Silva, Kompany, Zab etc

He can only stay if we want him to stay. I was half-joking with my original remark but Pep doesn't really play with an out-and-out striker or certainly didn't at Barcelona. I was watching him today and on one occasion in the first half an attack broke down. Leicester moved the ball upfield and we won possession in our own half. He was still 20 yards offside and strolling nonchalantly back at that point. The saving grace is that he will come deep and pick up the ball but we know that being a star player holds no sway with Pep. You have to play the way he wants.

I've also seen him sprinting back into the fullback positions to win the ball back when the opposition have looked to counter. You don't always want him sprinting back into midfield every single time we lose the ball, it puts you out of position and invites more pressure. Just hanging around every now and again forces the defenders to move back an extra few yards just so they're ready for him to drop onto their shoulder into an onside position. Rooney used to chase every ball all the time and the main problem was he'd never actually be upfront when they needed an out ball or looked to break quickly.

I'm sure he'll buy into Pep's "filosofee" Col which probably explains this news.

Incidentally, I was talking to a bloke in the pub after the game on Saturday. He was on the train home from West Ham the other week and Aguero was on the same train home with his agent. He got talking to him and Aguero came out with some interesting tit-bits. He told him Pep was definitely coming - remember this was before last week's announcement - and he doesn't like how Pellegrini rushes him back from injury. Messi is almost certainly not going to happen, although there was a good chance of it at one point because of all this tax business which was making Messi somewhat disillusioned with Barca but they've smoothed things over with him now. He also had a lot of time for Dzeko as a strike partner.
