The OP may unwittingly have just saved my dog's life with this news.

The shit-smelling little bastard has been grinning at me since I got home and I swear as God is my witness he's taking the piss. I was literally just about to kick him out the fecking window when I saw this thread.

Thanks to the OP.

(And Sergioooooo thanks you too.)

Pmsl, poor doggy hehe

He can only stay if we want him to stay. I was half-joking with my original remark but Pep doesn't really play with an out-and-out striker or certainly didn't at Barcelona. I was watching him today and on one occasion in the first half an attack broke down. Leicester moved the ball upfield and we won possession in our own half. He was still 20 yards offside and strolling nonchalantly back at that point. The saving grace is that he will come deep and pick up the ball but we know that being a star player holds no sway with Pep. You have to play the way he wants.

Most matches recently I feel a lot of sympathy for Aguero. He's had to put up with a lot of shite play and rescue or win games for us. He doesn't seem to eschew getting stuck in and he was still alert enough to score at the end

Spot on. Yesterday's capitulation has rightly see the manager taking flak again but if anyone thinks the players came out of it with any credit they are badly mistaken.

Some huge names need to pull their socks up and realise that under Pep, they will have a role that has to be fulfilled and anything less than 100% won't be tolerated.

Yaya is gone but so too will Kun and Merlin if they don't start to put a shift in.

People having a go at Aguero not putting a shift in...

He's on his own up front, having to put with the shit that's behind him, chasing after balls that the midfield have given away so easily. Trying to head a ball against 6 foot plus defenders.

He's our one top class player at the club. he must be happy here, wouldn't have blamed him if he wanted to go to one of the top class clubs. Hopefully Pep takes us to the platform that he deserves.

He wasn't even up front for some of the game. Bizarrely Sterling was. Aguero was at times so deep he was almost in our half in his quest to get the ball at his feet.

Totally agree with this, in fact there's a clause in the contract that says "if I have to wait for a young kid to come on again before I get any decent service I'm off". ;-)

Felt sorry for him yesterday, worked his bollocks off looking for openings and the service didn't arrive until the 87th minute.

Understand that pep doesn't care about 'names', but aguero won't go. He is the clubs 'poster boy' - there is no way we would let him go.
Pep will get the best out of the players, and the best out of Sergio. Yaya and silva will probably suffer - just not sure they have the work rate in them, yaya definitely doesn't. Sergio will be fine, though.

Well if we are selling Aguero then we must be fucking selling everyone because he's the one player out of everyone I'd keep.

The shower of shite that he's playing with at the moment must mean he's on £500,000 a week.

IMO if Pep wasn't coming and Pell was staying I would have expected him to ask for a transfer, albeit that if Pep wasn't coming I would have expected Pell to be sacked first

Fantastic news that he's extended his contract. I would think he feels that with Pep he has a great chance of winning the CL sometime in his City career now

I know they say no player is bigger than the club, but I think Aguero IS City right now. Feel sorry for him playing alongside this disinterested shower of shite. Please never leave us!!
