Aguero (Merged)

And have you ever watched Aguero and Tevez play with each other for Argentina? There's a reason they nearly missed the WC and it's very related to their poor communication playing together. So disjointed.

This is what concerns me too. They certainly didnt produce when they played together, I even watched some games and both were uninspiring. Don't know what position he would also play unless we start to play with two strikers and no wingers like Inter used to.

Argentinian star Sergio Aguero will be put up for sale to spark a massive auction - with Chelsea, Manchester City and even Manchester United on standby for a £40million chase.

Atletico Madrid have tabled a £10million offer for fellow Argentine Eduardo Salvio, who is seen as Aguero's successor both for club and country.

The Spanish side want to tie up a deal quickly with Salvio's club Lanus and have started to rush through the talks as they know Aguero may be on his way to the Premier League.

Chelsea have been after Aguero for weeks but have run into a major snag over his personal terms. Owner Roman Abramovich does not want to pay him too much and unsettle the dressing room.

Aguero's reluctance to commit has put the move to Stamford Bridge in doubt although the news from Madrid will keep their interest alive.

But now super-rich City are flexing their muscles, with their Arab management keen to restore some face after the Mark Hughes sacking debacle.

City could step in if Robinho pushes to go or Craig Bellamy becomes unsettled by the changes at the top. Aguero would be at home at Eastlands with his pal Carlos Tevez already there.

And neighbours United - who have money to spend on the right player - are watching developments and waiting to see what the price is before entering the bidding.

Sir Alex Ferguson wants an extra attacker and has been on Aguero's trail for some time. There are doubts at United about whether he is physically strong enough for English football, but they still remain interested.

Atletico are prepared to sell Aguero for the right price and are desperate to hike up the valuation. But their move for Salvio - a precocious 19-year-old who has already played for Argentina - suggests that the countdown for the exit has begun.

You can tell this is bullshit by the ridiculous idea that the Owe Trafford rags would be a part of any £40 M auction. Utter crap.

Re: Arguero?

Robbie. We don't need anymore 5'7 strikers as we have Tevez and Bellamy, hell we don't need anymore strikers period. We need a LB and back up at the CB spot. We could also use a player to step in for Stephen Ireland. The squad on Saturday was perfect considering the health issues. Kompany at his best position and Ireland playing where he is comfortable. Yes, we will struggle against better teams but we need to do exactly what Petrov said, play our players that are in form. Hughes seemed like he only wanted to play the players he bought.

Sorry about this fella's but i think Robbie is shit for city....yes he has all the fancy tricks in the world but i prefer Bellers or Petrov to play on that side......he is lazy, arrogant and thinks he is bigger than the club....use him as a super sub to finish teams off....Aguero might be the same or he might be fantastic....its not my money so not really bothered
Aguero works his nuts off. Tezez but faster and better at finishing.

There is no player I would rather have right now in a city shirt than Aguero. This is a massive talent it would be a huge signing. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps and stealing him away from Chelski would be oh so sweet to. Get this done!!
