Plus why would a journalist use a derogative word( Infamous)to describe one of the best & exciting finishes to a league that will never be seen again..

It's not the first time the MEN have used the word infamous to describe that goal. I seem to recall a year or two back it was used and it caused quite a furore then.
One wonders what exactly is going on at the MEN towers.
Perhaps someone with better search skills than me could dig it out, or even SB himself could lend a hand.

As long as they want him he will be at the top of his game and as such we will not let him leave and he is unlikely to want to, If his form were to drop (which I cant see) then they would lose interest. I can see us getting him to a point in his career where he will want to head back to independiente for a final swansong, which he has alluded to before in interviews and which we have in the past been open too if the players play ball with what our needs are, this would also be some time away.
Barca were always a bigger concern to me as I think they possibly could turn his head, especially with the Messi scenario, fortunately they seem set for the foreseeable future in his position.
I prefer this stance as I dont really like any of the alternatives.

All it has served to do is upset, annoy or engender contempt - depending on the relative disposition of the particular supporter (I'm in the third category, in case anyone was wondering).
Why would you consciously do that to a decent proportion of your readership? What purpose does it serve if it isn't to inform or entertain? Why would you make stuff up if all it did was to create negative feelings in a large section of your readership?
Most unusual editorial behaviour for a 'local' newspaper.

What is the shiekh getting out of that deal btw?
Manchester City’s billionaire owner will help fund the redevelopment of Real Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium after a company he heads struck a £350million investment deal with the European champions.
Sheikh Mansour is chairman of International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), which uses Abu Dhabi’s wealth to fund projects around the world. Those now include the renovation of the iconic ground over the next three years after the confirmation of a ‘long-term strategic partnership’ with Real.
But Sheik Mansour’s role will not infringe on UEFA’s rules over club ownership because the deal does not mean the Abu Dhabi royal family will hold a stake in Real. Instead, in return for the cash Real will promote the emirate globally.
