Aguero tweet

I was just wondering who pays his wages.

another stupid post Pam. You have been bleating all fucking week about how nervous you are (we all are but we do not keep saying the same thing) and now it is causing you to come out with some real shit

I doubted his commitment when he went of Sats only to tweet he was alright afterall. At that moment I had the impression he was taking the precaution-thing too far, and the first thought arrived was "WC Brasil". Now that he seems not fit for tonight I easily accept Aguero was injured, noticed it in time and learned from the game at Barcelona when he felt an aggravation and still kept on playing till halftime. In fact we hardly saw anything of him that first 45 minutes, so other than a fully fit Aguero I don't want him in the team.

Stop being such an angry poster. You're usually ok.

Is there any actual evidence that Aguero isn't injured and is just saving himself for the world cup when he could be playing?

None whatsoever, but we have some highly trained Physical analysts and body language experts on this thread I see. some expect 100% loyalty and commitment from players but when they are injured, don't we owe them some form of loyalty in not doubting their integrity when we have no evidence not to? Rather sad

He does himself no favours tweeting straight after he's come off in matches when presumably he's not had his injury properly assessed by the medical team. He has done it three times now and not only is it a bit tiresome but I guess some people are taking his tweets at face value and then wondering why he isn't playing when he's said he's fine. That aside though, you're right, he deserves more respect than for people to assume he's shitting out of matches of this magnitude.

There's evidence to the contrary, unless he's an oscar-level actor, from Goodison.

He indicated to the bench he'd had a tweak. Looked pretty pissed off about it to me, too. Pellegrini spent the next few minutes urgently telling him to go down so he could be treated. Sergio ignored him, carried on playing and even got involved in play again. He kept looking at the bench, shaking his head, and indicating he'd try to run it off and they made him go down.

He will be desperate to appear on Sunday. Days like that are what players dream of.

I'm actually convinced he has no idea what "precaution" means, shouldn't be so quick to tweet after but he was probably relieved it was't too serious with how bad its been this season.^ Agree 100% with DD above, get well soon and hope to see you on Sunday Sergio!

Pam you are wrong on both counts (1) you are casting serious aspersions on Sergio's commitment, which have absolutely no substantive basis in fact (2) my issue is that I am usually too angry a poster and I am trying to calm down - had I not then my original post to you would have been much stronger tbh.

By the way you used to be a good poster, but not this week

Bloody hell, I take it back. And I never take things back.

I was surprised that he stayed on for a couple of minutes given his recent injuries and you're right the whole thing looked more like it was the club/management who are trying to protect him. After all, Sergio (or any other huge asset) continuing with a muscle injury until he is well and truly crocked doesn't help anyone regardless of whether it is a World Cup year or not. I still think he has to stop these tweets though. When I read that tweet I took it with a huge pinch of salt because we have heard it all before from him but inevitably some people assume he is going to be right this time and assume he is fine. I think then some get frustrated, question what is going on and it starts the ball of suspicion rolling.

There is a league title at stake and Sergio is one of those players who is desperate to play. He won't be thinking about Brazil right now, none of them will be. He will be desperate to get out there and make sure we win the league. He will be gutted if he can't play, he was doing his best to run the niggle off but our bench gestured for him to go down so they could get him off the pitch and preserve him for our other games. It was a big call but it worked in our favour as we won the game and hopefully have him fired up and desperate to go against West Ham.
