Aguero??

He has the attitude that he's doing us a favour recently, awful in both legs, no discipline or workfare.
One of the strangest performance from my fav player :( Don't know was it a defined tactics or he just wanted to do too much, carrying the ball from deep midfield.

I thought he was shit and looked lethargic, though the service to him? There wasn't any. Almost every time De Bruyne went looking for him his pass forward was cut out and no one else on the pitch really had a forward thinking thought in them bar Navas and one shot from Dinho.

It's not time to cash in on him, he must have stood on that half way line in 20 matches this season and looked back on the shit we've produced and fucking fluffed.

Tevez would have give them 2 centre backs trouble all game.

He may have inspired the team and pressed from the front, though that hasn't been Sergios game for a while now.

Tevez wouldn't have had a sniff tonight from a team City created chance, because there wasnt one.

Tevez was much more capable than making something out of nothing, more of a playmaker as well. Damn, Tevez was awesome :( Kun can't seem to run with the ball anymore his touches are just not there.

Says it all about our (non) display last night. And we were told by the manager in the lead up to the game that we were going there to attack Madrid. Riiiight.

Yes, however Tevez played from the front and forced defenders into mistakes. In short, Aguero did less than nothing as he just couldn't be arsed giving it a go. Last night said a lot about those who play with ego's and those who just try despite limitations. I thought the Fernies, Otamendi, Clichy and even Mangala were OK. The big names like Toure, KDB, Aguero and Sterling were Dogshit.

The whole lack of team cohesion at the expense of individual agenda was best served by KDB's ridiculous free kick when a chance to throw it in the box beckoned.

Losing I have grown up with and am skilled at dealing with, lack of effort however cannot be tolerated.

I'm loathe to criticise him but I think on nights like tonight (and a few others in Europe) we see why he's not bracketed with Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez & Neymar etc. I've been disappointed with him in most of the CL games this season to be honest

The salient point about this post is that three of the players listed play in the same team; imagine if Sergio had two other teammates of equal/superior ability playing alongside him to share the burden and create chances.

Don't think his "new" game suits playing upfront on his own, especially against a good defence/a team who keeps the ball better than us. He's not physical enough, most of the time rather than challenging for a header about he spins behind in the hope that the opposition misses the ball. His press game has gone and so has his playing on the shoulder, he just doesn't want to work hard at the moment, probably due to fear of injury. His dropping deep is ineffective as he's not going to drop deep to get the ball, look up and spray it out wide then bust a gut to get into the box. Instead, he just drops deep turns and tries to do a Maradona vs England every time.

Pellegrini's tactics are just at fault seeing as how much work he has our wide players do, leaving Aguero isolated because the wide outlets are closer to Hart than they are to him when he receives the ball.

Zero support, if he 'didn't care' he wouldn't be on the half way line trying to get the ball to create something. It was pathetic management last night.

He really missed Silva and/or Nasri. He only got played behind once and the ball so often never reached him which is why he kept coming deeper to get a touch on the ball. Like many others however there wasn't enough movement from him. We used to pass and move so much better than we do now and I think that is influences by Silva and Nasri not featuring as much this season and because of Pellegrini's selections.

Looks like he's not that bothered. Doesn't press, doesn't make the runs, fluffs his first touch, misplaces passes, then ambles around for ages. Time for a striker with less ability but more hunger ?

If your boss couldn't give a shit you tend to find the staff don't either.

The danger in having a manager who has such low expectations is that the team meets them.

It's more like a "he needs to" rather than "he wants". If he didn't drop deeper into midfield, he would be completely isolated. KdB, Yaya and Navas were supposed to be his link to the attack but only Navas seems to be more efficient on the ball. If we were able to hold possession on the final third, which is something Madrid prevented us from doing, Kun would have a better chance on goal.

Only two players in our squad know how to play to his strengths.

He's looks utterly pissed off when Silva and Nasri don't play because he doesn't get the right balls played to him.

No excuses, he was simply poor, showed no hunger or desire.

I thought the Champions league was the ultimate for a footballer.

Man City players and staff have let us down badly
