AJ or Bale?

It was another great performance from Bale tonight, and he really has continued his hot streak of form into this new season.

But who is better out of the two players who have both been described as "the new Ryan Gigg's". Adam Johnson or Gareth Bale?

Pains me to say it but I think Bale edges it right now, he can seem to do no wrong. Johnson came alive against Dipperpool though and may challenge Bale soon.

Bale for me too. He looks unplayable at the moment, although AJ has been very impressive i think there's still a slight doubt lingering from his very quiet performances against some of the better teams last season.

If we had bought Kolarov - who I think will be revelation - then you might have a valid comparison - but this must be a 'it is late and I am bored and tired' thread

Draw for me. AJ for the way he is more prepared to attack directly and take people on, but Bale for his delivery and goals.

AJ is more exciting to watch, has more flair and can play more than one position.

Bale seems to be direct and effective.

Both been great so far this season. I'd pick AJ, although if i was a Spurs fan i'd understand them picking Bale.

Both left footed attacking players with a lot of technical ability. I think they are very similar myself. Ok, Johnson plays more on the right these days and Bale can play left back but there is no denying that these to players both have startling similarities in terms of the way they play.

Not exactly chalk and cheese are they? And I think its a subject open to healthy debate.

100% AJ, he's a proper player, gets stuck in and gives it back, very skillful too.
Bale is a tidy player but a southern softie, adam would kick full out of him.

I think Bale is playing better but I think Johnson is the better player and time will show that.
