AJ

The thing with AJ is I just know as soon as we get rid of him he will come good and will bite us on the arse at some point.
A risk I´m willing to take. If he leaves he´ll probably be great for whatever team he signs for 5-10 games then he will go of the boil. I like him but the lad doesen´t work hard enough which is sad. I feel he´s weak mentally, he´s fragile. He should of gotten a place in the Euros but Downing with 0 goals & 0 assists in PL got ahead of him which is absurd, SMFH! Now he if the lad decides to go then good luck to him, but not less then 10million imo. Tbf it´s not easy playing well when your manager doesen´t trusts you(neither do I) but that´s his fault.

IF Johnsson only had Milners workethic and professionalism, he would of been a very important player for us, but he dosent.
I think Mancini has done everything he can for him, he praises him, he criticize him and urges him to work harder and become the player he can be but it seems it doesen´t work. Lescott, Milner, Richards have all improved except Johnson whose gone backwards, he´s weak end of story.

I like AJ, but Aarron Lennon has had far more impact for Spurs than AJ for City....when they have played.
I'm with the poster who mentioned Hoilet. I think this kid has potential to be some player.

If he starts every game at a mid-table club he'll be good for 15 goals a season and comfortably get into future England squads. If he was happy to continue playing his current fringe role with us I'd be happy to keep him, but for the good of his career he needs to move on.

I hope we can get a decent fee for him, around £15m+, and wish him all the best.
We need a squad. He scored 7 this season which is a good return for a winger, especially given that he hasn't played much. Nani got 9 and he thinks he's can be the best player in the world

Maybe you lot just object to wingers full stop.

7 goals? If i remember correct, most of those were pretty meaningless like the 6th against Norwich. How many important goals did he score?

I agree with the Bolt thing. You don't have to be super fast, but it's certainly good. And AJ isn't that good overall or otherwise he would have atleast made the bench for our most important game of the season that was QPR.

No such thing as a meaningless goal, especially the season just past. Have you forgotten that we only won the title on GD? Those 7 goals maybe won us the title.

I like Johnson but I get the impression that he's been found out a bit since he first signed for us and now tends to drift in and out of games. When he arrived he was having a significant impact in most games, getting the better of opposition defenders on many occasions. The second half away to Sunderland in March 2010 springs to mind - he was involved in pretty much every meaningful attack and eventually scored a cracking equaliser right at the death.

It's going to be exactly the same as when we've sold the likes of Stephen Ireland. It will come back and bite us on the arse. He'll turn into a world beater again, just like Ireland did.

Yes, I am taking the piss.

I missed the days when AJ easily jinks and beats one, two even three men which makes most us love him so much.

What the hell happened AJ?

I always hoped AJ would of developed a lot further than he has.
Yeah, I always thought he would be better by now than he is.

I disagree, he is a great lad if you see him with hart, micah and the rest he isn't miserable. I just think he isn't progressing and he is lacking a hell of a lot confidence in himself. I think he is an average player and will probably always be a mid-table decent team regular. He may prove me wrong though, he's only 22..23?
