If we sign bale in certain matches we could play with a formation like this, I can see this really helping johnson as all the wide play wouldn't have to come from him meaning he wouldn't get marked out as much he does at the moment.

What in the name of Glauber Berti is that?

If he goes and I expect he will as he should be playing more than he does I would want to see us get at least £10m and maybe a % or any increased sale.

And agreed buy back clause

If he starts every game at a mid-table club he'll be good for 15 goals a season and comfortably get into future England squads. If he was happy to continue playing his current fringe role with us I'd be happy to keep him, but for the good of his career he needs to move on.

I hope we can get a decent fee for him, around £15m+, and wish him all the best.
We need a squad. He scored 7 this season which is a good return for a winger, especially given that he hasn't played much. Nani got 9 and he thinks he's can be the best player in the world

Maybe you lot just object to wingers full stop.

7 goals? If i remember correct, most of those were pretty meaningless like the 6th against Norwich. How many important goals did he score?

I agree with the Bolt thing. You don't have to be super fast, but it's certainly good. And AJ isn't that good overall or otherwise he would have atleast made the bench for our most important game of the season that was QPR.
Balotelli? Remember him?

Some of you would have us sell all our squad players. We won the League last season partly because we weren't in other competitions, we want to be competitive across all next season so we need a squad. AJ might not be an automatic starter but he is an outstanding talent and it disappoints me a lot that you don't recognise that

that's right, he's so over hyped by the madia, a top class winger 'in his own mind' - he is not as good as Sessègnon or Hoilett.

I don't agree that he is an "outstanding talent". Good player but often looks lost when playing with our real talents like Silva and Nasri.

Squad players? I give you an perfect example of a top squad player:

Zabaleta. Back-up to Richards. Yet, whenever you put him on whatever position, he does a good job, sometimes a fantastic one. Gives his all and perfect attitude. He is the kind of player you can always rely on to do the job no matter how important the game is or how hard the opponent is. Aj doesn't do this IMO.

Too much championship manager and wanking mate. Do you watch city?!

If you did play Bale on the left, you would need a right footed player on the right for some balance.
