AJ

It looks like Mancini is trying to turn him into a more central midfielder, like Nasri/Silva. Did not look to want to change the shape when bringing AJ on in the last third of the season. But even before that, AJ hasn't looked like he could beat a man for the majority of last season.

Looks like he has lost pace to me, even when played wide early on in the season.

More chance of him leaving than staying, but could be deadly if a manager gets him to settle down/work hard/realise his potential.

'Lost pace' ?! Jesus H - thats the only thing the boy had going for him!

He will shine in the Europa Cup - Spuds it is then.

AJ will score consistently elsewhere. Cheers Adam.

also,

anyone thinking we shift AJ out on loan, is totally deluded, the lad will make his own mind up, not be pushed around...

shame he's not welsh, could've been a national super hero like Bellers

AJ scores more than Dzeko did this season, is my prediction one way or another

AJ is a far better player than you give him credit for. He can beat a man, deliver through balls, score, cross. He's almost the complete attacking player. I don't see the other wide men in the Premiership having his touch and control. Players like Lennon and Walcott are quicker, but they don't have AJ's touch or composure

As usual taking our players for granted

Just had a vision of AJ journey manning, almost the Barton route, getting paid not ever quite delivering...

but then in his twighlight years, a stint at Blackpool, where he scores 20 in a season, 3 hatricks, and a brace at The Etihad, unfortunate not to be the winning goalscorer, as City finish 3-2 with an unlikely Savic winning header.

Liverpool in for him at 16m , should get 18m (12m profit). Good luck to him I say. Deserves more recognition than he gets on here but still to consistently convince over a full 90 mins in my opinion.

Funny how people on here keeps defending Dzeko and saying that we should play him more often, that he's a "confidence" players.

AJ's the same, TBF.

The source was CaughtOffside, let's not take any notice of it for the time being.

Agree with this. Not always consistent, but he's got all the tools.
