Hi just registered to talk about this as it fucking stinks. There is absolutely no way that it has sold out to people with enough points.

If it did they would have split the criteria up more and started on something like 10k rather than 8.5k.

I think they have put them on general by mistake, sold them, realised their mistake, and realised they've not left enough time to recall the tickets from the people that got them so will say they sold out before the mistake.


Fucking well pissed off.

i rang city at 18.28 after someone on here said the option to buy online was down. i was told it was sold out

at about 18.45 they appeared on general sale

at 18.49 it was on the OS that they were sold out.

chances are the ones sold on general sale were the last 10/20/30 tickets.

people going ape on twitter slagging the ticket office, yeah they fucked up but are people seriously thinking they have been on general sale all day?

been to every european away since TNS , over 10K points , like a dickhead never dreamed it would sell out before i had chance to book online after work - gonna have to get my book of contacts out - my only gripe is why did the points start so low today ?

Something isnt quite right here.

If it has sold out on the first day, then I have the following questions and points.

1) Why is there 40 Loyalty points awarded when the demand was so so high? Surely your more of a loyal fan for turning up for the less popular games i.e Villa Carling Cup than the more in demand games such as this?

2) It is a concern that those on such high points are "whoring" their membership and not actually going. This opens up all sorts of potential problems for the police, club and the supporter.

3) 2,700 Tickets were on sale for this fixture. Perhaps in future the club could sell 2,000 tickets via the usual way (dates&points) then once that allocation has been sold, the remaining 700 is given to fans randomly via a computer draw to those on cup scheme/seasoncard. This way you are still rewarding those for their loyalty and giving those who will NEVER get a chance to be at the top bracket of points to see this games.


Im on 5,750 so obviously disapointed/bitter but this is happening a lot recently.

you couldn't give Madrid tickets away in Spain..have you actually tried to get to other aways?

I go to away games for league games but have missed out on every champions league away bar one, which was villarreal away. Bought my ticket outside El Madrigal and sat behind mancini. Its frustrating and Im not the only one.

So you missed out on Napoli? There was only 760 of us in an away end that holds 3k. And Bayern wasn't a sell out!

I imagine the ticket office will be having a lie in tomorrow morning.
it would be easier to sell what they had left on general sale today,rather than having people queing up at ticket office thursday morning.
Also, now they wont have to answer phone, not that they ever do !
