Ajay said:Ajay, are the people you know and supply you info confident we have the squad to stay up this season.
Think about it - ADUG have bought the club and invested close to 100M so far - do you really think they would do this and risk relegation?
We lose tv revenue and at present are 5 points above third bottom place.
Every purchase is a gamble Ajay , there are no guarantees but I think you have answered the question and I am pleased that their confidence in our ability for this team to stay in the top flight for another season is high.
Relegation depends on what the players we chose in our remaining 15 games do for the 95 minutes each match and to that extent is largely out of their sphere of influence I would suggest Ajay.
The long term commitment as is suggested would include funding our team should the worst case scenario happen and we find ourselves in the championship next season I would imagine or am I mistaken there?
I would suggest Hughes and Cook would go then for sure and may not last beyond this season no matter what happens from now on in but hopefully not our relatively new owners?
Its still too early to say how many points will be needed but it would appear more points than the past few years will be required.
I am very confident that the side which finishes 18th this season will have more points than the Reading finished with last season.
This Saturday looms as a huge game for City , Boro are fighting for premiership survival and Southgate perhaps his job.
I hope we are up for this game.
