It's got nothing to do with any sense of humour. My objection to it is not based on MY OWN concept of propriety or taste or anything else, but a not ill-founded belief that seeing Ramsdales (underlying) point (the "humour" is merely the vehicle the point travels in) may be difficult for some if English is not their first language.
