I certainly don't and just cannot understand why he's lasted so long on the BBC

Great start to the day hearing that news. If you wanted to sum up the decline of the BBC from a quality-driven broadcaster to an agenda, clickbait-driven one, where talent takes a back seat to the ability to inflame in one person, Green would be it.
