Alan Whicker RIP

Just seen this on the BBC,I was fascinated by his shows as a kid and they made me interested in travel.
The Whicker's Island sketch on Monty Python was hilarious though.

They've just shown that sketch on the news, very funny. I remember watching Wickers World as a kid, great show.

Back in the day used to look forward to his programmes .he went to places at the time that us mere mortals could only dream off

I remember his programmes from when I was a kid in the 60s and, you know what, over the years since he never seemed to age. He always looked that old.

I found it quite fitting that on the day he left us i got a superb shot of a girls Alan Whickers in tesco
