Great to see four City players in the line-up; let’s hope none of them picks up an injury.

I think I’m in a minority here but I’m delighted we’ve got 4 starters in an England team. I don’t get the england hating. We used to slate United fans for doing this. I understand not liking the fans, but surely everyone wants the National team to win??

I quite like the side he’s picked. Henderson for Philips and it’s a decent side.

I’d prefer just the one defensive midfielder. It’s Albania. Southgate is too negative

Yeah, what might be detrimental to him is that he’s versatile. He’s not nailed down a position really yet.

Maddison is another who could rotate with Mount.

Genuinely surprised at that lineup. Take out Phillips and stick in another attacking player, (I'd go with a rashford/Sancho when fit) and stick foden central and that's what I'd consider England's best 11

Good to see Mount and Phil in the same team. Will be interesting to see how they gel and how Foden/Kane/sterling operate as a front three.
I do like Mount a lot. How Southgate will utilise him, Phil, Grealish and Maddison is going to be interesting.

Anyhow fingers crossed they all play well (our 4) and come away fit and healthy.

Maybe it’s because I can remember the times when having a City player in the England team was a rarity or even a non-event, but I love it too.

It helps to show the stature of the club within the game, IMHO.

It seems we can't start a footy game these days without some tribute to some body or some campaign. Just kick off and ditch all the shite - including the fair play handjab/shake.
