Album of the year - 2025

Good solid year for albums in my view.
Some good debuts of which one is in my Top 5 and another possible for the 10.
Got a solid Top 5 then a whole load in consideration for the other 5.
Always find I have to go back to earlier in the year to see what I might have forgot.

Some good returning favourites this year.
Doves with a good album but missed Jimi live in my view
New Charlatans is solid with some old school moments.
I'm big fan of Pulp and it's a good record but the 2 music monthlies I read gave it album of the year which I think is a bit of a stretch. Bit of nostalgia at play here.
Another very happy return is a top 5 pick so I'll leave that to the reveal

I was just looking at the scheduled releases for Jan 26 and there's some hopefully good stuff on the way but I bet that come next Christmas I'll have forgotten they were 2026 albums.

As someone who misses too much of what is posted in the new music thread, this thread is a good backstop for the stuff that I either missed completely or meant to listen to but forgot.
