Albums you've 're-discovered'

Great call, Whitworth.
Astral Weeks has reminded me of the sublime Moondance and also Irish Heartbeat (which Van the Man did with the Chieftans) and that in turn, has put me back onto...

Another Country by the Chieftans.

An understated masterpiece of an album. It proves that great musicianship knows no boundaries of time or geography.

I listened to Ocean Colour Scene - Moseley Shoals last week for the first time in ages and forgot just how good they were.

I listened to the Chili Peppers album "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" for the first time in years last week. Forgot how awesome it is!

I lost my virginity to that album. Holds a special place in my heart.

*attempts to insert BM in joke to fit in with crowd

John Virgo was much less caring and considerate then you'd think.

Watched the film "Control" on Saturday which triggered me listening to my original vinyl recording of Unknown Pleasures
i've probably only listened to it once since getting a CD player in 86 lol

what a fantastic record

the problem with the iPod generation is that we no longer listen to albums all the way through

"Sandinistas" by "The Clash". Not listened to it for years and thought most of it was self indulgent and childish at the time.

Now think that it would have made a very good "Double" Album as opposed to the Triple it came out as.
Hear hear, i agree with all that. Just started listning again and there`s some brilliant tracks on it, especially if you like a bit of dub reggae..

The early stuff by Daryl Hall and John Oates... Abandoned Luncheonette... forty years old and still as fresh as a daisy!
