I don't bother with daft tests that prove fuck all - when I want a drink, I have one, because I am a grown up with freedom of choice.
If I want another, then I do, because I can.
It's great, this free will business.
And equally adaptable to other areas of life where decision is involved.

Yeah fair enough Fetters but the check isn't there to call you a c**t. It's there to help you make a call.

I'm not preaching either- i'm an 18.

Point taken mate, but I very much doubt serious problem drinkers will complete a survey to confirm what they already know.
Society is far more concerned with demonising those who use illegal drugs than helping those who are addicted to the legal nice little earner and biggest killer which is alcohol.

This is also very true.

haha fetters!

I think if I got up in the morning and thought i needed a drink it would seriously be time to give it up, until then - cheers :)

You've hit the nail on the head right there hun - the difference between want and need.
If I woke up and wanted a beer, then I'd have one, because that would be through choice rather than addiction.
If I woke up vomiting, trembling uncontrollably and couldn't function unless I necked half a dozen Special Brews, then I may have more serious issues.
Fortunately, I find five sufficient, so clearly my drinking is well under control.

AUDIT....

Alright, AUDIT yourself using this if you want.

**Please Note**: this is accurate if you are honest with yourself.

19, happy with that, expected higher.

lol at some of the comments on here :)

For those not liking the test - fair enough, you're entitled to your view.

I'm only showing on here what was given to me during my training for ADS as a volunteer.
I'll be asking these questions (in my own words during a brief conversation) and in no particular order down at the local magistrates courts.
The conversation is designed to asses people on their need for guidance and or support in relation to alcohol and then forwarding them on to these services that ADS provide nationally.

I'm no expert lads, I'm only doing a voluntary role with ADS since losing my job.

btw, the A in ADS stands for Addiction. They also provide a great service for those of us with addiction/dependency issues with illegal drugs (not just alcohol)

Nothing is perfect, but at least this questionnaire does help in assessing people and helping them make the right decisions in improving their health.

Lol.. give me a room full of stoners all day over a room full of hyped up kids on the cancerous junk food and sugar infested soda drinks.

My brother has smoked weed for over 20 years now and he is one of the sharpest/healthiest guys I know.

I have no problem with marijuana whatsoever, this country would be far more happier and safer if it was legal (my opinion of course)
Sick of going around town and coming across drunk idiots who can't handle their drink looking for fights.
