Aleix Garcia - 2016/17 Performances

His is constantly available to receive because of super movement and he has already worked out what he's going to do with it before it arrives. Potentially a brilliant player.

A very good player. I hope he's a regular in the squad next year.

Very tidy again, comfortable & confident on the ball. Only thing I noted was he doesn't seem to have developed that awareness of what's around him that the more senior guys in that role have - a little quick to lay it off early in the direct he's facing, where a Silva will turn into space, Yaya will be ready to hold off the opposition as he's receiving, or De Bruyne will pass first time round the corner.

Imagine that'll develop with time, he's not had many minutes this season, and even fewer at this level. Has many positive attributes to be a success & hope we give him game time when suitable.

Murphy could do with watching that game again and he may change his mind about giving the young huddersfield lad motm, granted Billing had a good first half but overall, Garcia had a much better game over the 90 mins.

Should get more minutes this season after that performance. Kept the ball really well, a couple of very good passes with nothing spectacular. Be good to see him get more experience and watch the breaks come off a little bit.

He was very good tonight though.

Going to be a good squad player.

Looks very composed on the ball, keeps things simple but is able to play between the lines effectively. How anyone can watch Garcia and state that Fernando is a better option is beyond me.

Played well and clearly took a bit of time to grow into the game; not surprising considering he hasn't started in a while.

Strange that some in the Match Day Thread wanted him subbed after less than half an hour.

I look forward to seeing more of him.

People keep saying he "keeps things simple". Maybe he makes it look simple then because after settling, he was threading balls through the Huddersfield midfield in between the lines for fun. Balls that the likes of De Bruyne don't always get right.

An unspectacular, but solid 90 mins under his belt.

Hopefully we can get some PL games won and get him some league minutes too.
