He's a better centre half than full back and had a decent match yesterday
Sometimes he's our worst enemy by running into a dead end and losing the ball. It's heart in the mouth stuff at times

Not sure re Kolarov since Pep seems to rate him. Clichy is toast though I agree.Mute point really, both are nowhere near good enough to play for Pep's team and will both be gone by next season. Value for money over the five+ years they have been here Clichy at a third of the fee for Kolarov - I know who I think has been better. Sad state of affairs if Kolarov is considered the answer against Spurs - they have far too much pace and movement for poor old jogging Alex.

Not sure re Kolarov since Pep seems to rate him. Clichy is toast though I agree.
Kolarov probably won't leave, he's got 1 year left on the contract and we're already replacing Clichy, Sagna and probably Zaba. Add in another CB and that's a lot of defensive turnaround.
He's got to be up there with the most appearances ever for a top club by somebody who's 'Shit' and 'Wank' in equal measure.
Truth is he should have already been replaced, that we've allowed both him and Clichy to remain at least a season too long is down to ourselves and not really the players fault. That said, Kolarov has had far more decent games than poor this season and certainly when played central has been in our top 6 performers.
That probably doesn't sit well with those who hate him but it's the truth. Unfortunately for Alex, he has always got a bad game in him and it's never too far away so I can understand the criticism. Not the hate though, I'll never get the pure hate he seems to get on here.'

No idea what he was up to yesterday left the Colin bell entrance about 1/ 2_an hour after the game still in his full kit and turned back up another 1/2 later still in his kit .bit random that

Like Clichy, he's always got mistakes in him - that's the problem I have. I mean even yesterday in one of his better games, on 91 minutes he sold himself cheaply with his challenge on Narsingh and it was a let off from the linesman or they'd have been through on goal.

For this is one of the most interesting situations we have at present and how will Pep deal with it.
As i understand it he is widely tipped to be one of this summers casualties and will be moved on, however Pep seems to see him as his go to guy at centre half, to be fair he does seem most comfortable there.
However given that we already have Stones, Ottomendi an to a lesser degree Kompany competing with him for the two starting berths and we keep on being linked with other centre halves, you would suspect something has to give.
I suspect Pep is planning for a 3 at the back formation and if this is the case I think AK may still be here next year.
