Aleksandar Kolarov

I suppose we'll have to wait and see with regards to next season. I think Pep will use him correctly and he'll be a big asset. I'd be interested to see the figures as i reckon he would be near the top of the distance covered table today, was always available on the outside whenever we had the ball. Whilst i would agree he does sometimes negate space for a winger, it's not Kolarov's fault. It's very clear the manager wants him to do that, he's simply doing what's asked of him. What was the right choice? I get a great view of the left flank first half from the south stand, not once did i think he choose the wrong option. mainly because he rarely had an option, never mind 2. I had no problem with him shooting when he did, most of the crowd near me were shouting at him to shout before he did, there was no other options on and we hadn't even had a shot on target before he decided to take that shot. it was a woeful effort admittedly but the alternative was to simply go backwards.
As you say time will tell but I for one will be amazed if he has a part to play in a team that presses like Pep wants his teams to- from all accounts he will not tolerate anything less and is not afraid of reputations - if you like a hybrid between Mancini and Pellegrini in attitude. Cant wait. At 30+ Kolarov will do a heck of a job returning to Italy where he has more time and space. I will personally give you a fiver if he's still here next season ha!

Staggering this guy is still here and even more staggering is that twat in charge picks him over Clichy in one of the biggest games of the season.

I'll always remember that time he screamed at Barker in a friendly for absolutely no reason at all and the hand signal to the fans against Norwich. I don't like him.

Why he didn't fuck off with the reat of his buddies last summer ill never know

shit game bit at least he tried more than he has before

balls in the box were shite today but again, no one there for him to aim for

Nacho was screaming for the early cross today but this numpty tried to do his little reverse flick or waited too long.

Bolloocks thats a poor excuse.
Twice he managed to get the ball in and thats when we had 3/4 men.The rest of his crosses were so over hit the fucking car park attendants had to boot the fucking ball back. The other crosses never got past the first man.
Its a fucking fantasy that he`s a great crosser of a ball.

im amazed he has been at City 6 years in the summer, 6 fucking years. How that is possible, should have been shipped off and upgraded 2-3 years ago already

we have spunked big money on attacking players and ignored full back positions and central midfield for the past years with the exception of Fernandinho but he was already 28 years old.

yes i saw that nacho had stolen a yard, problem is he would have still sent over the usual rocket ,i can imagine him as a junior i bet he was a proper **** hitting everyball with almighty power ,and bollocks to all the other kids

words fail me, ben thatcher wasn't this bad, must have sealed his fate with that inept performance, by far the worst player on the pitch and that's saying something with some shockers elsewhere

He was probably the worse player on the pitch but he shouldn't have been on there in the first place. Terrible management.

He was awful but I agree he shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place. Pellegrini is fucking useless against better sides.

Kolorov's shooting and crossing today though was just dreadful. It was a horrendous performance from him.

Hung out to dry by his manager. His job when playing, especially at home is to play as an almost auxiliary winger, that obviously is going to leave him exposed defensively, even more so against a pacy in form winger, when he does get the ball who exactly is he supposed to pick out? There's never anybody in the box, he often deliberately aims for the first man in order to get a corner as it's preferable to hitting it into an empty box. You could see his frustration in the first half when he was gesturing for people to get in the box for him to try and pick out. He'll be vital for us when Pep comes in.

There's fucking no chance Pep will even keep him at the club. Too slow, too old, poor decision maker and an awful defender. Not been good enough since we bought him and definitely wont play in a Guardiola side.

Should never have started the game. Should never have come back out for the 2nd half as his 1st half was one of the worst i've seen for a long while.

Why does he feel the need to shoot from 35 yards at least twice every single game!? More often than not, there are much better options yet he goes for the screamer. We got the ball out to him loads in that first half and every time, he should have been hitting the cross first time. Yet instead he checks back and slows us down, waiting for the opposition to get back in their numbers.

Should have been sold 2/3 years back and how he still gets a game is beyond me. Offers absolutely nothing to the team at all other than the fact he hits it quite bloody hard
