Can I ask you do you actually believe Mancini, Pellers and now Guardiola have been tricked by his 5/6 good performances and this has not been noticed by all our assessors, performance coaches but Lancet Fluke has spotted it?
I think he's been largely poor over his time with us, yes. I'm not sure what you want me to say really - they all kept him so I'm supposed to lie and say that I have liked what I have seen, presumably?

A great club servant and a very good player, a fact recognised by three successive managers and reflected in two PL medals. Time for him to move on but his contribution to our history should never be underestimated or undervalued. Thanks Aleks.

No it was just the relevance of the 5/6 matches and the inference all these managers had been hoodwinked.

I do not think he has been Citys best player over the past 7 years but he has certainly contributed to our success. Not a dig at you but just surprised there can be such dislike for a player who has been there from the start of this journey. Arguably been better than Zabba the last 2 years but the attitude of fans to the two is totally different.

Maybe because one of them was fucking brilliant for a number of years and the other has never been even approaching brilliant at any point for us?

I agree, frank

Some are just upset that he turned on them after that Norwich game, he showed he cared in that moment for me, regardless of what you think of his ability, he's a huge part of our history and should be remembered as such!!!!

That's certainly nothing to do with why I haven't rated him, I had totally forgotten that happened tbh. Just don't think he was ever good enough at defending.

Good luck to him....been up and down for us but I don't think his influence around the club and dressing room can be underestimated...he comes across as a straight hitter to me....proven by the way he told fans who had a pop at him to do one...you can't argue with that IMO

great player. if we ever had more than one player in the box pre pep,
he would have had a shed load more assists, and some people might of changed there opinion on him
If we signed a giraffe or two then maybe so I suppose.

Well you can believe that but he had more than a decent season the year we won the double in 2013/14. 17 million for 7 years service represents good value for money and he has conducted himself as a true professional during that time and never heard of him misbehaving or speaking disrespectfully about the club. Deserves more respect from City fans like Dzeko before him.

He has been and not every player has to be signed for 40 million are have the biggest profile. Technically has a wonderful pass/cross and free kick and accepted rotation without any hissy fits and come back in and adapted to whatever the coach has requested of him. He wont go into my list of best City players but will always respect his contribution. Some fans have become spoilt.
