Alessio cerci

According to Tribalfootball:Manchester City risk missing out on Fiorentina winger Alessio Cerci.
"Itasportpress says Juventus are making a last-ditch attempt to poach Cerci.
New Coach Antonio Conte is a fan of the former Roma youth product and would like him in Turin."

City threaten to poach Aguero from Juve's grasp.
Juve threaten to poach Cerci from City's grasp.

Well, I know which I'd prefer but sounds like a lot of posturing to me. ;)

Mancini's record at City of giving youth it's head is shipping Nedum out on the basis that Boyata is better. Boyata then got himself sent off against Arsenal and was never seen again. Other than that - he's done fuck all for the young players coming through at our club. To be fair to him, it may well be that they're all just not good enough. My point is more in relation to the myth which is peddled by those obsessed with Hughes - which goes along the lines of: "Mancini brings through young players. Hughes would never had done that. He sent Hart out on loan, and Mancini recalled him" as if that one act makes him Arsene Wenger...

amazes me how you are still bleating on about Mancini, you are becoming beyond bitter now.

As for the above which is once again aload of bollocks, Mancini has been here for 18 months now and has given 11 lads their debut.....ELEVEN IN 18 MONTHS, plus named a further 5 or 6 on the bench and all this when he has been in a pressured situation to achieve his goals or be sent back to Italy. In Hughes 18 months he gave ONE lad his debut, one ffs....oh and he made them ballboys for the Hamburg game.

Oh and one final thing, anyone who still goes on about Boyata getting sent off is just a fucking idiot, are you that annoyed that you can no longer use that as an excuse for Mancini failing with us?

Time for you to grow up Billy.

As for Cerci, i agree with LoveCity, if he is here for cover and isn't a regular starter then we may aswell save the £7m and keep Weiss but it seems Mancini doesn't rate Weiss which is a shame, would love to see Weiss go out on loan to a Italian or Spanish club next season and really shine.

I've no problem with Mancini & think he's doing a fine job but as far as bringing yougsters through, well apart from Boyata, he hasn't, not at all. Just giving a player his debut doesn't count, you have to actually play them in order to 'bring them through'. He hasn't done that, he's just used them to fill holes in individual games.

He preferred to play Jo instead of any young players & that may have cost us Guidetti.

May also be that they're simply not up to it but either way it is most definitely a myth that he's done anything special for our Academy players so far.

Mancini needs to be careful with his young players. We are in a situation whereas if he risks an young player in could backfire and cost us. He has to be 100% sure that they are ready to step up. It was always going to be harder for them to break through, as we get/got better.
