Absolutely. Despite his clear shortcomings especially when starting games I don't think any of us can say we weren't genuinely surprised by how effective Adam Johnson can be. What if he's being bought just under the proviso of a backup fast pair of legs to come on against tired fullbacks? Or another option when trying to break down a team? Or just another option for something Mancini has thought of and we haven't because he's the one paid to think about this kind of stuff? :p
