He is actually saying that the cause is Brexit, that we voted to end uncontrolled immigration, and culling pigs because we have no immigrants is what we voted for as part of the road to the sunlit uplands.

I can't make up my mind whether he really does understand the difference between killing animals for food and culling them because immigrants went home. Maybe Carrie hasn't told him about it.

Having covered farming politics for more than 20 years, I have never seen such an appalling, ill-judged and ill-informed interview. It seems astonishing that it came from a man deemed worthy by some of holding the role of Prime Minister.

You'd think Johnson would feel some affinity to fat pigs.
