Ironically Boris can actually speak fluent French because he spent part of his childhood in Brussels when his dad worked at the European Commission. Which makes his delboy act to Macron last week even more cynical and bizarre.
Just picking up on the lack of investment in truckstops by the haulage industry: in a market economy, why hasn't that happened?

He is actually saying that the cause is Brexit, that we voted to end uncontrolled immigration, and culling pigs because we have no immigrants is what we voted for as part of the road to the sunlit uplands.
I can't make up my mind whether he really does understand the difference between killing animals for food and culling them because immigrants went home. Maybe Carrie hasn't told him about it.
