Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

I rate Isak a lot but £130M+ would be mad money for his scoring record. We are so lucky to have Haaland locked up.

There's no striker in the world who is simultaneously good enough to fill in for Haaland at a moment's notice and also likely to be happy playing second fiddle. Marmoush is fine.
So we rinse Haaland dry over 60+ games then? Have we learned nothing from the Rodri situation where similar sentiments were proffered prior to his body breaking? Again, Moose isn't a striker.

Suggesting that Moose can "do a job" "put a shift in" or "will be fine" are similar arguments I heard put forward after Kompany left & Rodri got injured.

In both instances, consider how the following season unfolded, & the signings City made in the proceeding windows to correct the glaring deficiencies in our squad after the "we'll be OK" & the player A, B or C "can do a job" stances, crashed & burned?

We're Manchester City & "can do a job" shouldn't be anywhere near being a solution for us. Rodri? Kovacic "can do a job". Walker? Nunes "can do a job". We ended up winning nowt & were nearly relegated from the Champions League. That's where "can do a job" gets you mate.

I agree we need a good second option, i also agree marmoush is not that option. however, that role is filled by marmoush and we can't fill it with another player whilst marmoush fills it and we obviously arent going to be getting rid of him anytime soon so there's just no space to bring in somebody else for that role.
Hence why we need to trim the fat. Pep says he wants a smaller squad, but he seems determined to cling on to his tried & tested, but ultimately ageing & constantly injured players.

We both agree that our squad needs two elite strikers to compete, rest & rotate with each other. Having no space in the squad is purely down to poor squad planning on Pep's behalf after we won the treble.

It was obvious then that our squad was in need of evolution. We essentially tinkered with it for two seasons, meaning the evolution quickly turned into a badly needed revolution.

It was all so unnecessary mate. If we want to compete on all four fronts every season, we're gonna need to maximise our squad size, & strengthen its gene pool.

It's mental all this talk of Isak being a 'better striker'. I'm pretty sure a strikers main job is to score goals...

In his 3 seasons at city alone, Haaland has scored just 15 less goals than Isak has in his entire career.
Erling also scores pretty much a goal a game at international level and in the champions league, whereas Isak averages just worse than 1 in every 3 games.

Isak may be better on the eye but he's absolutely nowhere near him as a goalscorer.

There isn't a player on Earth better than Marmoush who would be willing to come and sit on the bench behind Erling all season.

He scored 1 less league goal and got 3 more assists than Isak playing 3 games less last season btw

Liverpool getting 80 million for Diaz from Bayern after fucking them for Wirtz is a peak sigma behaviour
My only fear is if they are generate a similar amount for Nunes from Saudi and may begin to think about Isak

The whole point of bringing in a quality striker is so Haaland doesn't have to play every minute of every game until his body breaks like Rodri's has.

Again, Moose isn't a specialist striker. His goals & assists are vital from playing behind, or to the left of the main striker.

Isak to Liverpool will happen- Nunez and Dias will go. Is what it is though we can’t affect what business they do- only focus on ourselves
