Who knows? In terms of probabilities, I, and maybe the bookies, wouldn't give them 50%. That is, even if they sign Isak, it's more likely they fail.

For starters, the new players will need time. Liverpool lost two firm starters and both Salah and VVD are a year older...

Context though. They just spent £117m on Wirtz.

Isak has hit 20+ PL goals in back to back seasons and is 25 years old, nearly 26.

How much would Liverpool want for a 26/27 year old Salah who pretty much did the same thing, they'd have wanted easily £150m.

Yeah the sale of assets to yourself basically renders PSR dead, it's basically back to the days of spending what you want. They'll try to close all of the loopholes again when they're all back at the top.

If Liverpool agree to pay, say, 140m, they'll get close to Chelsea's record of 440m (?) in one transfer window...City have never had a 300m transfer window. Maybe 270?

Notice how Sly Sports, Ornstein, etc aren’t showing that they plan to break another transfer record. Just “Newcastle reject Liverpool bid for Alexander Isak”.

If we win the title next season, it would be an incredible satisfaction for us against the Premier League, the media, etc., even more so than in recent years.
