Some of them have an eye on the throne while others want to sit in the background, pulling strings. It’s definitely a dog eats dog world in the Tory party.Yup, and they know there’s plenty more still to come out.
The thing is they’ve already all gone too far defending the indefensible already to really regain any credibility. Some of them are screwed either way now.
Hell hath no fury than a Cummings or a woman scorned and all that…

This will screw him even more too. They’ve been briefing every single step apart from this the last two days, that’s a fair few cabinet members as well as no.10.
Will it? He’s not given a fuck about anything happening before. Why would it now?
Agreed.Because the membership has always been able to turn a blind eye to a bit of sleaze, not this much though and ditto with the parliamentary party defending what was so obviously a lie in the first place. There’s very little wriggle room left and it’s pretty obvious it’s only going to keep coming.
They would probably bring the party together, not quite sure about the electorate.Would be a very interesting leadership battle if he was to go, not sure any of the likely contenders could unite enough of the parliamentary party or the membership to win easily.
Agreed.
The question is, how do they achieve that? The VONC has failed. Another one isn’t due for 10 months or so.
If Johnson doesn’t resign, how do they get him out? They’ve never had a leader who doesn’t give a fuck about the party before.
