They can easily change the rules for another VONC. Enough pressure and he’ll have to fall on his sword anyway. As much as he’s Teflon, he’s only allowed to get away with it by his enablers, some of which can easily change the narrative very quickly.
Whilst all is true, it weakens their party each time they have to change their rules to implement.

Who‘s left to take over?

Maybe they want to fall on their sword as the country will be so fucked by 2024 that they regroup for 2029.

I have thought that a bit recently too tbh. Either way though, that would make Johnson’s era coming to an end sooner rather than later more likely.

This will screw him even more too. They’ve been briefing every single step apart from this the last two days, that’s a fair few cabinet members as well as no.10.

I’m in this position now where a senior member was moved on without going through the due process, allegedly. Very similar incidents later on but 2 quite different outcomes as different people have very different thoughts.

You may be on to something there.
Either way the tories are fast approaching the tipping point where they have to decide if the lying fraud is an election winner or loser.
Hopefully they will tear themselves apart.

I was musing on PMQ tomorrow. "Pincher - what did you know and when did you know it?" Or "What are the unknown unknowns about Pincher - and what do you know about them?"

They left him alone about it during the session about the summits, but John Crace still came up with this: If the Convict is getting the easy calls wrong – “Let me think. Is it a good or bad idea to give a government job to a man with an alcohol problem who stepped down from one ministerial post for sexual misconduct?” – then what other misjudgements might he be making.

Has the fact he got his hairdresser pregnant and fucked her off to Canada come out yet?

Who's protecting Johnson?

Both Sky News and BBC News 24 news anchors told commentators on their news paper reviews they couldn't call the Prime Minister a pathological liar.
