The apparent drinking culture at No. 10 was wholly wrong, but I think the country has bigger things to worry about than whether somebody turned up at a work meeting with a birthday cake, or whether tables were put out on the lawn at the back of Downing St

You are either a Tory seeking to distract or a Tory in denial. The findings of the Committee's report had sweet FA to do with cake, drinking culture or birthday's. He was found to have deliberately lied to the House on 11 occasions - he claimed that advisers told him stuff when making statements to the House - those advisers said unequivocally in their own evidence they told him nothing of the sort. So if he was not told that but then repeatedly told the house he had been that IS deliberately misleading the House.

He compounded the issue by, when he got the copy of the report there was a covering letter that told him he was holding the only paper copy of the report and no no accounts was it to be shared, photocopied, photographed nor discussed by him it was for his eyes only. Next then mentioned in his resignation some of the details of the findings in the face of that letter thus putting himself in contempt of the Committee under Parliamentary Rules.

He also published a pdf copy of said report on line same night and as that was in breach of the letter and found to be impugning the committee in accordance with House Rules.

And you are still giving it the cake story.
And if the rules were broken at No.10, then they were also broken by Starmer and Rayner when they had their curry night in Durham.

Two investigations 3,200 Police man hours at a cost of £100k to the taxpayer says it wasn't and that you are talking bollo

At least Trump is funny on occasion - this was the worst ever person to become prime minister. A liar and a cheat with no principles, beliefs or policies. He has dragged the country down and still does by purveying his own oxygen.

Irrelevant to my point, and I haven’t read the full report yet - as I said, if he did mislead then he should be censured.

The point with it is you won't read it because you know how it ends and its not the ending you wanted so you will ramble on about cake and curries rather than actually understand what the committee was set up to do - at who's request - who voted to approve its make up and what would have happened with these conclusions coz the shit house cut and run

I could be flippant and say that you are in denial about the curry night.

Clearly broke the rules and people who were there said no work was done at the event, so why were they there having beer and curry? And why did Rayner pretend that she didn’t know whether she was there or not? I know she has a permanently vacant look about her, but it’s a bit silly claiming that you didn’t know where you were on a given date.
