Renaming the cabinet the Nazgul I heard :-)
It's not hypothetical unfortunately, I could live with take a life by anything other than accident spend the rest of your life inside but the reality is that's not happening. So your statememt just proved that the threat of punishment doesn't deter people, as after being punished this hypothetical murderer re-offends.
And as I said punishment should fit the crime humanely, a murderer wouldn't be released if I had my way, they wouldn't be executed though just jailed for life
You seem to believe, possibly because you inhabit some sort of Brexit echo-chamber, that there is an overwhelming appetite for leaving, but there isn't. There never has been. The country is split right down the middle on this issue.if he delivers brexit he will win the next general election by a land slide in my opinion. i think its actually refreshing to have someone new in - someone who actually believes in brexit.
theresa may has got to be one of the worst prime ministers ever
Hang on - haven't you and others spent 3 years saying that Fox is a useless fucker?
If anyone was going to trot out the same old crap why is it you, yes Germany is a fairly ordered society, so not comparing like for like, why not compare Japans murder rates (they do have capital punishment) and use that as the one to study. You tell me why someone who has so little regard another human life should be allowed to continue with theirs and I'll be happy to concede your point. It’s not a deterrent when you hang the wrong people.
This obsession for terrible punishment to be meted out is an odd one. In Germany the punishment for homicide is 5 to 15 years. They have a population 20m higher than ours, a lower murder rate and a lower prison population. So the question really is do you want to lower the murder rate - in which case the German model would be one to study or do you just want to hang people because - well just because you want to hang people I guess. In which case the US model with record incarceration rates, the death penalty and much higher murder rate is the one for you.
Just don’t pretend it has anything to do with justice or reducing crime.
Our two main parties are headed by people who are more akin to comedy characters than heavyweight politicians. A **** and a wanker.
The fucking state of our politics.
The Countries split just to the right of right down the middle, but you're correct Great Britains never seen a Parliament of 650 so inept useless tossers in it's history.Maybe a country gets the leaders it deserves. You seem to believe, possibly because you inhabit some sort of Brexit echo-chamber, that there is an overwhelming appetite for leaving, but there isn't. If you can't see that, then you simply aren't capable of objective thought.
In the scenario you paint, it will be another deadlocked parliament, with a decent number of seats changing hands down to particular demographic reasons within certain constituencies. Some, one way; some the other.
