Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

Can people stop referring to this liar as "Boris"? He's not some charismatic, unique national treasure. He's a devious, selfish, amoral, dangerous public school tosspot who does not deserve to be made cuddly by being given an affectionate moniker.
Well said, Dismal ;-)

I think you will find that senior QC and judges fully support these sorts of procedures. We have laws and they should be enforced. If there is no case to answer here then the ruling will reflect that. This does open up a decent debate and from such cases we often get changes in law.

Are politicians allowed to lie - it would appear yes. Are civil servants / public officials allowed to lie - no that is contrary to law. Boris was Mayor of London during the campaign when he repeatedly lied. So what comes first the fact he is a politician or a public servant?
Bet that is not the case at all

Just your narrow view and prejudice being reflected IMO

Have you any experience with the senior judiciary?

Not a Boris fan, but the way our judiciary has been weaponised in internal tory politics is appalling really. It's similar to the abuse of position by the speaker of the house IMHO. Another role where neutrality should be at the core but has been forgotten in the current swamp that is our domestic politics. Sad times.
This is some junior member of the judiciary

Who has no doubt blown forever his chances of becoming a senior member with this embarrassment of a decision

That’s the clincher, was toying with the idea of Raab, but Boris gets my vote now ;)

Bottom of the judicial food chain, apparently.
Involving criminal law in political campaigns is a serious deviation from accepted norms, one that has sinister undertones.

Is it a measure of how much you've read about this case that you overlooked the fact that the judge in question is a woman, District Judge Margot Coleman.

Can you confirm you will be voting for Boris or as his mum calls him young Boris. I know some like me don't like Boris. Some really hate Boris. Others apathetic towards Boris.

On the other side of the coin some think Boris is okay while others think Boris is wonderful.

Some Londoners thought mayor Boris was crap but others gladly voted for mayor Boris.

Only time will tell if Boris becomes Tory candidate leader Boris or PM Boris.

Maybe he will just always be MP Boris or quit politics for the media. A talk show perhaps anchored by Boris.

A chat with Boris could be the name. Or Boris bites. The Boris view. That kind of thing.

He is a one is our Boris.

It does seem a bit opportunistic to go after Boris for lying when every MP throughout history has been guilty of such.

However, MPs should be culpable for their actions and the lies they tell. Saying things that are evidently not true, with the knowledge that it is not true should be a punishable offence.

Boris who?

Clever as this is - it is also irrelevant to the point I was making

The senior judiciary, I am confident, will be both deeply embarrassed and irritated that some junior has mm ade this pathetic call

I am very confident that my view is accurate - have you anything of substance to evidence that it is not?

Boris who?

No idea what his surname is I think he’s like the musician Prince aka the symbol. It’s brand Boris. Dismal seems to have a bit of a crush, he might know;-)

Boris
Jezza
Maybot
Uncle Nige
Shitgibbon
Dismal

A worrying trend in modern society no doubt. As it’s impolite to call a woman a **** Esther Mcvey will have to be called no fucking way Mcvey. Tad long maybe.

Dismal does seem to be appearing in many lists of pejorative handles.

What a pathetic post.
Asking someone to prove a negative.
How about some proof to support your assertion?
Just saying you’re very confident you’re right doesn’t mean much considering your track record.
