Please don’t tell me you don’t understand why the national debt has increased over the past nine years?

I’ve had to explain it to Len about two dozen times over the past decade, I thought you were more intelligent than that.

Also as the Tories have been in power for nearly twice as long, it’s unsurprising that they have 2/3 of the debt against their years in power.

Also:

“So. it's true that Labour borrowed more than the Conservatives before 2008, but that on average the difference is very small indeed: Labour borrowed just 12% more per year, on average.”

Just 12% more per year!!!! Just 12 per fucking cent.

I don’t think your article is quite the slam dunk you thought.

You missed out the labour part between his and policies.

He has nicked their polpular ideas and then when asked how will you pay for it calls people negative about britain.

Absolute shithouse of a man using the bannon playbook, and anyone falling for it needs their head testing

Could same the exact same about labour

No I don’t mean that. Popular policies that are attractive to the floating voter will be unveiled and communicated effectively by Boris. He’s already begun the process of winning back the Leave voter so this is the logical next step. Expect to see those poll numbers increasing as this message hits home.
Hindsight is 20/20 and all that - but let's all just be grateful for the incompetence of May and her advisors.

She had a significant majority lined up in 2017 but made the basic electioneering error of starting to get over-confident and set out unwelcome/truthful policies on the basis that she will have secured a mandate for the 'difficult choices'. The result was she alienated great numbers of traditionally Tory voters.

Thank fuck or she would have gotten that WA with the hideous unfettered backstop through.

I cannot see Johnson making that mistake - he will go full-on the opposite and promise the world and then work out what can be delivered/needs to be reneged upon afterwards

Well done on homing in on the one stat where Labour was worse, and that reversed when rejigged to allow for inflation.

I understand why the national debt increases. We spend what we haven't got. Welcome to Boris's magic money tree.
