Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

I'd like to point out that I hated Corbyn, thought he was dangerous, but i voted for him as i calculated he was a less worse option than Johnson. A hung parliament would have been the only good outcome.

We already had a hung Parliament. Corbyn delivered this.

fuck me - this in itself should bar someone from national office.

From a Brexit pov just think about this an unelected not even adviser is advising an unlelected adviser telling the PM what to do - if anyone who was angry about the set up of the EU can see this sort f thing and accept it then they are completely devoid of any reason.

Surprised Leave got even 1% of votes considering how anti American/international interference leave voters are.

I'm in a safe labour seat but didn't vote for them, I've not done for sometime as they're not going the way I want, needless to say I'd die before voting Tory

I do wonder if Labour would have said we'll stand by the Brexit vote how many more seats they'd have, it wouldn't have taken many votes in a lot of seats to have changed the election outcome.

The prime minister will appear before the Commons Liaison Committee for 90 minutes, during which he will be asked about Dominic Cummings' controversial lockdown trip to County Durham.Wednesday's session, due to begin at 16.00 BST, will be the first time that the PM has faced questions from MPs since the allegations against Mr Cummings emerged at the end of last week

They’d have won more in the towns and lost more in the cities. Brexit wasn’t their biggest problem, Corbyn was. It was the British version of the USA elections of 2016, with two appallingly bad options.

If they'd have gone either way clearly towards leave or remain BJ would not have an 80 seat majority. Jezza got a lot of stick for various policies, but his confused brexit one was a disaster - don't know who thought it up......

It's chaired by a Boris fan who's blocked an anti Boris MP from speaking. It will be a stitch up.

And there we have it
Alasdair Campbell pictured doing a selfie with someone less that 2m away
In fact probably 2 inches
The man on a non politically motivated crusade against Cummings and Boris
The hypocrisy is so full on its ridiculous
Not saying Cummings is right or that he should stay
But it is a witch-hunt pure and simple

Yes it is a witch hunt.
Brought on Cummings by his own duplicitous behaviour.

Nations leaders my arse.

Only 90 minutes? For 37 members to ask questions? My money's on Yvette Cooper or Harriet Harman to do the skewering. A few Tory members will want to hide including Greg Clark who's had a real "Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells" letter from a constituent.

Ok - take Campbell out of the seventy odd percent who want Cummings gone what do you say to the rest of the seventy odd percent of those polled who say Cummings was wrong and should go? What do you say to proven lefties like Sir Roger Gale, Isabel Oakeshott and Julia Hartley-Brewer?

Yep, definitely just as bad.

I think that this is quite true/interesting

Labour would not have even had to say what 'shade' of Brexit they would deliver - I am sure that you are right and there would have been a big impact.

Those responsible for the LP's Brexit position and the influence of the metropolitan elite need to be nowhere need the leadership and the next manifesto

It's far from pure and simple. We wouldn't have got to 1000 pages on this thread if it was

Don’t dispute he brought it on himself
Just think some of the people campaigning are hypocrites

Which media outlets/conmentators/people involved in politics would you not have a problem with if they were critical of Cummings and Johnson?

Who is clean enough to be able to pass comment , in your view?

I think that's the problem. It's part quite justified pursuit of truth and justice, but also a political witch hunt by their enemies. Genuinely difficult to see where one starts and the other ends.

Every story of political wrong doing/scandal since the dawn of time has attracted comment (usually deserved criticism, occasionally supportive comment) from 'the other side.

It would be utterly bizarre if it didn't.

I suggest that the bigger issue clouding people's judgement here is the polarised, conspiratorial attitude that has seeped into culture where many now cannot view anything other than through the prism of them and us.

The media coverage and range of critical comment on this issue has been about as proportional, widespread and non partisan as you could get.

(Granted, in many places online, where people with the attitude described above flourish, the comment and analysis will have remained, as usual, utterly biased, bizarre and unhealthy. Funnily enough (it isntbfunny at all really), they will also be the people constantly bleating about "the mainstream media" and the conspiracy against them)

I realise that is what you are saying. I guess I'm really continuing to reply to the other bloke.
