Seems remarkably convenient, but guess we should give him the benefit of the doubt even though he is a congenital liar. If it’s true and he had tried to keep it under wraps people would’ve been rightly apoplectic.

Actually, fuck that. Just seen that the person he’s supposedly been in close contact with is this guy. Two congenital liars. Could be true of course, but understandable that people are sceptical.

Don't be silly. We shouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt. It's what the staunch labour supporters on here do, bash him regardless of what he does. Same as what the Tory supporters did when we had a Labour government.

Fuck it, I've mailed him and told him to go back to work the middle of the week. Gives the same people crying about him 'ducking out' the opportunity to whine that he should be isolating!
 
I have a pretty simple rule in life. I give people the benefit of doubt, but if they reveal themselves as liars then I believe little or nothing that subsequently comes out of their mouths.

it might be a tad simplistic, but it’s served me pretty well.

Johnson is a lying ****, so I’m therefore disinclined to believe that he nearly died from Covid, or that he is self isolating for medical reasons.
 
Amazing how whenever things get tough, he has some reason he can't be fronting up to the press. Weird that. Although being in isolation is no reason not to give interviews and take questions via video like they have been doing anyway, so I guess we'll see what the truth is depending on whether he does them or just gets one of the clueless henchmen to do it again.
 
Wow conspiracy is rife on this thread. dammed if he did declare or dammed if he didn't imo. the bbc stressing how he cant do the things he wanted, but the reality is will eadily be able to carry out most things distantly.

If Gove is put up for PMQ's then fuck convention - the Tories do it all the time anyway - and have Starmer dismantle Gove instead.... lets face it that will just be a practise run for whats to come anyway

maybe so, but honestly at least if the protocol is being publicly followed then it's much needed publicity of what the public need to be doing.

At the end of the day it's a shitshow either way but we need the rules much more tightly implemented and strongly publicised because standards have dropped significantly.
