It seems that this has kicked off as it was widely reported that it was Johnson who personally briefed the media recently that Cummings was the ‘Chatty Rat’ (what a ridiculous nickname). I’d say that this was a direct result of Carrie Symonds putting pressure on Johnson as she was pissed off with Cummings. I can see them splitting up even sooner than Haz n Megz.

Its headlining both the Fail and the BBC on line just now. Its more how quickly will it disappear and who if anyone will hold the governments feet to the fire over these claims.
Going to be an interesting few days which will confirm much about the depths to which this nation has fallen.
 
BBC and Sky filling their pundits role with Tories toeing the Cummings is talking shite and he just wants revenge line.

They would be the same Tories who lined up to defend Cummings Barnard Castle outing and to tell us what a great and upstanding chap he was.

Must he odd having a job where you are told to contradict yourself in public on a regular basis. Even odder that you would agree to do the job.

We deserve better than him, I do not care if it is another Tory, a liberal, labour or Monster raving looney, anybody is better than him and if he had any semblance of common decency he would resign as PM, resign as an MP and spend his life making amends for his gross negligence and total lack of empathy or understanding by working for nothing for a charity that takes cares of families who have lost people to COVID.

It just saddens me what this country has become under his leadership, we are a great country reduced to a laughing stock.

An example for future historians of what can happen when a populist politician is elected. Happened in the US with you know who, and 90 years ago elsewhere in Europe.
We can only hope that the Tories are indeed lining him up to be kicked out in the summer.
He's probably looking forward to it as he can then write books, memoirs, columns, lies that can paint the history in his favour - history being written by the last man standing, or the victor. He might even think he's done a great job, he's that narcissistic.
The risk being that he's replaced with Gove, Patel or worse.

There are people worse than Patel and Gove? I can think of several who are more incompetent, but surely none are worse human beings.

Thats exactly it. I hated Thatcher but I understood her motivation - she did what she did because she thought she knew what was good for the country - whether it was or wasn't is a whole other debate but her what and why was clear.
Johnson is as we know just in it for himself - always has been - and selects people to do his bidding on the promise of personal advancement and enrichment. He knows who to look for because he only has to see people who remind him of himself.
Yes the skipped Unconscious Bias training but that was replaced with a lesson in how to prepare a statement in two versions - one for the proposal and one against to be selected and used in a manner to further one's own advancement

The very same mealy mouths who not so long ago were all over the media defending Cummings.

If Johnson had any decency he would resign, he wont though because he is that far up his own arse he truly believes he is infallable. He has become Momus.

I couldn’t even tell you what Boris Johnson’s political ideology is. I thought he was supposed to be a One Nation Tory, but he’s not really been a One Nation PM. I know little of his tenure as London Mayor, was he a One Nationist in that role?

The only three things I’ve seen that have benefitted the ordinary man is keeping taxes low (obviously, there are arguments to say this actually doesn’t benefit the ordinary man), the furlough scheme and the vaccine rollout. Two of which wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Covid.

The furlough scheme has been a fucking disaster from a financial point of view. The treasury refused to allow HMRC to put anti-fraud checks in place, which would have taken about 5 days, because they wanted to roll it out straight away. The result of this has been a cost to the tax payer to the tune of billions due to fraudulent claims that could have been stopped, nevermind there is absolutely nothing in place to sort out how this is going to be paid for once furlough is over. Just borrowing money and throwing it at a problem is all good and well until the bill turns up. We're royally fucked.

I believe he is an ideological vacuum who takes up a cause and puts himself up as leader to sate his own ends and his own ego. His two different brexit columns prove that.

He appears to have an inherent need to be popular, he wants to be liked, maybe he was bullied and laughed at whilst at school and all he wanted for people to say how lovely he was. But behind that facade is an egotistical maniac with a narcissistic streak and a huge problem with telling the truth. He is a compulsive liar, but i reckon that comes from his desire to be liked, he will tell lies so people like him. Which all in all makes him a very insecure sad **** who probably had a severe body odour problem as a kid. Thats where you get this clown act from, he is trying to make people like him, he isn't funny, he isn't a clown, he is just a cold calculated psychopath who will stop at nothing to be in power because all his life the entitlement of his upbringing has ingrained on him that it is divine right to be in charge.
