Johnson is a narcissist and so by definition has only his own interests at heart.

Should that coincide with what is best for the country then happy days if not.......... see Brexit which he absolutely knows is not best for the country.

I'm not looking to re-open the Brexit debate but it's a good example. Johnson was pro EU right up until the moment he could see it might be best for him to swing the other way.

If you believe your last sentence you are not paying attention. This small island country is currently running at 10% of the worldwide deaths based on the Government's own figures.

I am sorry to say if you think there has been a single MP of any note in recent times that is not first and foremost for themselves in normal times, I would love to try a £20 bag of yours please.

As for how it will pan out in comparison to other countries and in what ways we will have to wait and see. One thing I can say is that we do not seem to have seen the scenes of people on floors and trolleys that we have in Spain and Italy. We have a bigger population than either of those countries, so whilst I am far from being a lover of the Tories there is nothing to say they have fucked up more than any other government.

Of course he had it, however, you think he was at death’s door from a deadly respiratory disease a few days before he did that broadcast to the nation? That simply doesn’t make sense to me.

My brother’s working on the front line fighting the disease and he has previously told me (in general terms, not relating to the PM) that those at death’s door who recover aren’t fit for fuck-all for many days, never mind doing a relatively lengthy broadcast to the nation, sat in a chair.

I’m sure he was seriously ill, but I’m not buying the ‘he nearly died‘ line. I’m doing so based on what I’ve observed and what I’m told from someone who knows a great deal than me on the subject.

Fuck all to do with being a bitter lefty (of which I’m neither). Nor am I hateful, unlike you claim to be.

Not hateful...good to hear. Clearly you are too young to have suffered Thatcher.

You do not call a man a **** when he is fighting for his life. Certainly not when he is trying his best and had a pregnant girlfriend. Maybe you would I wouldn’t.

I think the wife he dumped and the children he has who are all but the same age as the pregnant girlfriend were not well disposed to the man. I expect the kids had their concerns when he went into ICU but not sure the wife would be overly bothered after the way he behaved when he was married to her - her cheque had presumably cleared and she could see karma in action.

Your infatuation with the man is clear but as someone else posted you might want to stay off this particular thread for a few days.

How is he doing?
I'm hoping we see him back on Monday.

That will depend on the graphs..... if cases, deaths, travel, whatever metrics you choose are ticking down he will bounce back - if they remain stubbornly high or only plateau my guess is he will get a sick note for another week and ask Raab to continue as milk monitor and PM.
