I doubt it, although be interesting to see the next few polling numbers for him. Think it was 66% thought he was doing a good job last poll.

I expect nothing much to stick to him if we manage to come out of this economy wise in a reasonable ish condition.

The thickos on my Facebook timeline have calmed down from all this “The New Churchill” shite and moved into “Yebbut Jezza/Abbot” mode now, so there’s been a shift. But it won’t be massive because the Boris Fan club won’t know the detail of what’s been going on and still see him as a top shagger.

Okay one more go.

I know of no other Foreign Secretary that fucked off to a party in Italy with an ex KGB agent, all without his security detail. Reckless exceptionalism
I know of no other senior politician running over a 10 year old child. Reckless lack of empathy

How much empathy has Johnson show his now ex wife and their 4 children ? Fuck all I'd say. How much empathy does Johnson have for the people of this country who are dying in droves because he couldn't be bothered to get off his fat arse ? Some would say he only acted when he understood his position was in danger.

Narcissists see themselves as special/exceptional - Johnson has always believed he would be Prime Minister and is said to have a Churchill complex.

I have obviously not been able to observe him at close quarters but Max Hasting his former boss said 'he cares for no interest save his own fame and gratification.

Add to that his lack of concern for the lady in the iran prison,he was in charge of gettibg her out,too much blustering and not enough learning the case and speaking carefully about it

I do understand that we all have narcissistic tendencies. I have have worked extensively on my own which puts me in a reasonable position to recognise the signs. I also have first hand experience of dealing with a narcissistic boss, which let me tell you is a tricky position to be in.

It is difficult to recall all the things which make me fairly sure Johnson is a narcissist and by that I mean his narcissism is off the scale of what would normally be deemed acceptable. We can all be selfish at times.

Examples of Johnson's narcissistic behaviour are

Multiple infidelities. Narcissists find it extremely difficult to sustain relationships for obvious reasons.
Poor relationships with children/siblings
Many instances of reckless behaviour - e.g. attending a party in Italy thrown by Evgeny Lebedev without security when FS.
He appears to believe he is exceptional and that normal rules don't apply to him.
Even the incident when he ran into a child whilst playing rugby is a sign. A normally adjusted person in that situation would take extreme care but not Johnson all he is thinking about is how he looks and subsequently flattens a 10 year old.
Over Brexit he clearly didn't think about what was best for the country but pursued the route he thought was best for him. Remember he had always been a staunch advocate of the EU.

There are many, many other examples, these are just a few that spring to mind.

He is without doubt an extreme example of a narcissist.
Listen to his speech to the nation after he left hospital. A huge chunk of it is in the past tense: because he has recovered, the crisis is over.

Good point. I must admit I didn't pick up on that.

Just like most people get sucked into the narcissist's manipulation I found myself hoping he had turned a corner.

They are so manipulative.

The difference to me with Johnson is that I do think he’s fully aware of his own failings. I don’t think he’s narcissistic like Trump and believes he knows everything. I do think he believes he is in the job he was meant to do all of his life though regardless of knowing his failings, which says a lot anyway.

I don’t think narcissist is the right terminology though. I’d say he’s more of a self serving tin pot Machiavellian twat.

for me he saw himself as Churchill but that night just before he went into hospital he clapped on the doorstep of number 10 and looked a broken man. His fantasy of being a PM didn't include a crisis just a triumphant leadership that everybody loved. I don't even believe he is an ardent leaver and he just looked like someone who had got his dream job that wasn't turning out to be what he had hoped - I actually believe at the moment him being overthrown is the easy way out for him.

True. There's a pretty shameful history of whitewashes when it comes to public inquiries in this country. The only retribution will be at the ballot box or any legal action brought by the families of the deceased.
