I think he’s the right choice
After a plethora of greyness following on from the warmonger/peace envoy,a bit of bolshiness and personality will be a good thing.

Reminds me of when we needed to break the unions stranglehold on the country and had the right woman at the right time to deliver
Now we possibly have the same strong personality to get Brexit over the line

Prejudged as a disaster before he became the London Mayor but defied the naysayers and did a far better job than the present incumbent

We should all be getting behind him

There should have been a cross party committee and a consensus established not just in England but across all the home nations. But as the Govt refused to do this throughout the two years of EU negotiations either in Parliament or in the country as a whole I’m not sure what you expected the opposition to do. Crack open the bubbly and rejoice? May didn’t even let her own party in on the negotiations let alone the opposition.

Can I ask what you think Tories, Labour, SNP, Lib Dems, Plaid Cymru and the rest would have ever agreed on in that time and thats before we split them into leavers and remainers?

I know the answer, its nothing and no brexit but yet again, they should have all thought about that before agreeing to the ref, its question, their promise and then them triggering A50.

We would have more chance of consensus on here or down the pub than with the twats we have sat in parliament.

If you don’t get a consensus you don’t get Brexit. Major constitutional change needs the buy in of a big enough majority of people to stick it out when things get tough. Brexit never had that majority and still doesn’t. The Scots and Irish don’t want it. The rest are more or less evenly divided. There is no majority for any one form of Brexit or second referendum or anything. It’s why Brexit has gone no where and we are still in the EU.

It is what it is and no amount of ‘believing in Britain’ or comparing it to the moon landings or saying we survived the Battle of Britain or whatever is changing it.

Did he?

I just remember him putting up bus fares every single year, something that neither his predecessor or his successor have done.

That's before you even start talking about the 'Garden Bridge' fiasco and his frequent foot in mouth episodes.

I think this is for you from reception" Who ever left the size 36 shoes and bucket of whitewash please remove them " Btw 2 watercannon and1000 bikes need to go as well.....

I said at the outset that Brexit needed a cross party committee and not simply a Brexit Secretary. Sadly in our political system that would be destined to fail as our opposition parties seem determined to argue black when the government say white... they seem to argue against things they actually should support at times because they feel they should.. it’s pretty pathetic

Spot on.

Unfortunately May seemed determined to prove she was a great stateswoman who could deliver it single-handedly and ended up proving the exact opposite.

Johnson started out as a remainer and then switched sides for political gain.

They are putting their own personal ambitions before the country's future.

Jesus, i'd forgotten about the watercannon!

He bought them second-hand off the German Police before he'd actually checked whether it was legal to use them here.

Theresa May banned them and they had to be sold at a loss of £300,000.
