You may think you’ve been clever there, but you haven’t.You may think you’ve made a lot of good points there but you haven’t.
No patient has gone without a ventilator in hospital (unlike Spain and Italy) as we’re well below capacity.
Germany have had less deaths but also far fewer have had it across the populace. You can only judge UK against Germany when everything’s finalised and finished in about 18 months time. They’ll have to come out of lockdown at some point.
The point is not about whether we ran out of ventilators or not.
The point is, they were on the radio begging for ventilators.
They were begging for ventilators because they weren’t properly prepared.
They revised the budget up 20x because they weren’t properly prepared. Boris was shaking hands with Covid patients because he wasn’t properly prepared. ICL projected 250k would die if they followed their initial strategy.
Not running out of ventilators doesn’t mean the initial preparation was correct. But thanks, though.
