Just for clarification, what specifically did the EU do that punished the U.K.?I can see what's going on.
You or anyone else on this forum has no idea how or if I even voted in the Brexit referendum. I simply stated above what transpired with the negotiations post referendum result and that it turned into a shambles, and that maybe it wouldn't have if the remaining EU nations had been more sanguine over the whole affair rather than looking to punish us for it.
By all means blame UK politicians for getting us to that point, but don't absolve the EU of any blame for this mess we now find ourselves in.
You are 100% to blame on this. Why on earth would the EU be lenient towards the UK when you decided to leave? You were one of the major partners, financially and otherwise. Imagining being able to get a better deal than the one you had was deluded beyond belief. The EU is a much larger economy and the UK so much more reliant on them than vice versa.I can see what's going on.

The answer to that is nothing, it's all self inflicted by the UK upon itself. If anything I think the EU have been too kind and tolerant throughout.Just for clarification, what specifically did the EU do that punished the U.K.?
Well those conditions were known beforehand so cannot be considered punitive. They didn’t accept that we were a special case and could enjoy the benefits without paying our dues. The utter bastards.

MY opinion - formed from reading/listening to opinion from both sides of the argument, from many differing points of view. I filtered out most of the extremes of opinion as best I could and came to my own conclusions. Sorry if they don't line up with your ideals, but that's just the way opinions work. It's your "opinion" which is exactly the same as the lies he has been gaslighting the country with for two years.
Apologies if you got it from Rupert Murdoch or Nigel Farage instead.
How can you hope to have a balanced opinion by listening to both sides of the argument? All that does is confuse you.MY opinion - formed from reading/listening to opinion from both sides of the argument, from many differing points of view. Did you really, really think that the EU would help us and play ball? Seriously you thought that?I can see what's going on.

You can't go round claiming to be some kind of balanced or sensible person when you just claimed "the EU are punishing us" like some kind of pound shop Farage, mate.MY opinion - formed from reading/listening to opinion from both sides of the argument, from many differing points of view. They need to speed that process up reallyNot sure, heard they were suggesting by the time of their conference in October.
Well those conditions were known beforehand so cannot be considered punitive.
That should have been yesterday, sadly.Labour vote of no conference surely.
Like I said 'Emotive Subject', so I I'm going to leave it there before it starts getting silly. You can't go round claiming to be some kind of balanced or sensible person when you just claimed "the EU are punishing us" like some kind of pound shop Farage, mate.
