If you see the street interviews, there are plenty who seem to accept that he's a conman/liar with "but I like him".
When the Labour no confidence is put forward, those MPs who just showed a lack of confidence are going to vote for Johnson regardless, and it'll be blithely waved away that it's contradictory.
It's the right thing to do to try to get rid of him, but I'm sure Labour are partly setting the dilemma up for the Conservative MPs on what to do, while expecting them to support Johnson. Much may come down to the 1922 committee elections.
Assuming Starmer fronts the motion, I wonder who answers him for the govt.
