Thing is oldtimer, your contribution about the democrat “circus” was just a vague, needless and unnecessary bit of tit for tat imho, on a thread that was started up about quite a specific thing, a newly elected individual, and the responses to her from some republicans. It wasn’t a democrat vs republican thread or a general US politics one, so to me there’s no need to insert a generalised dig/try to divert attention from the matter at hand.

Do you agree some of the criticism of her has been out of order (and has sweet fa to do with Hillary Clinton), or do you think it’s all been ok?

Anyway, I’ll get off my high horse now! ;-)

I think Trump being the President of the USA tells us all what we need to know about American politics, they deserve all the stick they get IMO even this new shiny member mate ;)

I am hopeful with her, she represents a marked change in American politics for as long as I have followed it. Either she will cave into the mountain of lobbying cash that has turned DC into a cesspool or she will be a part of the new wave of representatives to clean it up. Her energy is great and couldn't come at a better time

I've followed her progress in the last 6 months, especially, but have known about her in the last year.

She won't succumb to the lobbyists, but you will see her do the Pelosi Dance, while she positions herself better.

Her influence is extremely strong, but she's a new congress woman and has much to learn about House politics.

That she isn't afraid to say what she feels even if it might bring scorn and stands up for herself amid some pretty pathetic and snide shite from the GOP.

She and the other newbies lile Rashida Tliab are a breath of fresh air amongst the old guard of Republicans and democrats.


Clinton and trump have fuck all to do with this thread except in passing, I would rather it stayed that way personnally and not turned into democrat v republican arguement.

I just wanted to say I liked her and her style not get into a debate about american politics in general tbf.

Yes and it was fine at discussing the thread subject until, as per usual in every political thread a couple of poster have to nudge it in another direction.

There is no need to bring trump into it and don't know why that particular poster did, I replied to you in particular as you brought specific party politics into it with the circus commemt and Hilary, as said I would prefer if the thread was about the lass herself and the new congress memebrs not trump, hillary or general rep/dem bollocks.
