Tax rates that are set too high always result in less tax collected.
Has she weighed the ratios, or is it just a soundbite?
Asking an individual to pay 70% and hoping he/she would simply cough up is naive, to say the least, remember that their
current tax bills will result in their paying millions anyway, saying that they should pay even more becomes self defeating.

she is saying that tax remains unchanged on your first $10m. 70% applies to the $10m and 1st dollar so 70c is taken as tax on one dollar and so on. Why are you so scared on taxation do you earn more than $10m per anum? Why wouldn't they pay? They people like them have before and do so elsewhere in the world

Mate, I don't get his argument either.

At the very basic level, this affects people and him (unless he's a secret multimillionaire US citizen...?) very little if at all.

He doesn't baulk at the trillion dollar giveaway of taxpayer money, but argues about the reverse! Where was his kick off at one single solitary banker going to jail for the Financial Crash 10 years ago?! Some wealthy people might have suffered, but it was poor people that were destitute as a result!

It's a fookin' bizarre stance to argue on, really!!
