Alexis Sanchez

It's going to be entertaining regardless of what happens. Imagine being a gooner and having to deal with this bullshit. hahaha

I wonder what the Arsenal opinion on this is now?

Scenarios: best to worst for Arsenal

1) Extends his Arsenal contract: Likelihood 10%
2) Joins City. They get a replacement. Maybe Mahrez. Likelihood 45%
3) Sees out his contract but announcement mid season, going to a European club. Likelihood 45%

They probably want and expect 3, but in my opinion that's the worst scenario because of the season-long distraction (to the player and fans), and loss of morale.

I am not sure about my likelihoods. Everyone seems to think that we are in for him - but there are no bids. And logically the deal that makes sense is that for Mbappe, not Sanchez (for me anyway).

1. There is 0% chance he will sign an extension, zero, nothing, niente, nada, it would be a waste of time. Arsenal is no longer a winning club and hasn't been one for years, Sanchez is 28 and won't be able to challenge for the champions league until next year. That is assuming Arsenal can make top 4 which I doubt they will just by looking at the squad, not to mention Wenger tactical ineptitude.

2. The bit I care about is he joins us, who cares if Arsenal gets a replacement. We haven't made a bid yet so I think 40% chance.

3. Considering the shit storm Arsenal will get into by selling Sanchez to a rival club I think this is the most likely scenario, although it's possible he asks for a transfer in which case I have no doubt they will take the money so for me this has a 60% chance of happening.

I´m not sure what is the fee, but Mertens could be a good option. Fast, a lot of movement off the ball, scores goals(scored more than 30 goals this season), plays wide and number 9 and he plays with similar ideas under Sarri. The problem is his age (30) and its not easy to negotiate with Napoli´s president. Felipe Anderson can be an option too. I´m so excited with this new season. Without injuries this would be a serious team to attack the Premier League and probably the Champions League.
Been playing too much fifa ?? , Recently signed a new 5 year contract.

Have to say it's been a top drawer summer in the signings department already so to bag Alexis and possibly another CB, but even just bringing Alexis to the squad we will be right hated.

There will be some envy and some expectation around Europe with Pep needing to deliver imo, at least the Prem title and would say top 4 finish in Europe.

Sanchez pulling the old 'pretend i'm sick a few days before I have to go to work so they'll believe me' manoeuvre.

If he doesn't show up Sunday because he's 'enfermo' they'll surely sell. It's just getting undignified.

There wont be any bids for a player who is not for sale. Once Sanchez shows his hand then a bid would occur imo

Hope this comes off, them fellas in charge at arsenal are right greedy fuckers aren't they??, hard to see them risk losing say £40m -£50m if they are indeed money mad, it appears Sanchez is doing his bit perfectly and us just waiting for the green light
