Perfectly serious. It just seems odd that he'd be holding talks over a free transfer now when he could just do it in January with whatever club he wants and he wouldn't need Arsenal's permission. He can't sign a pre contract agreement until January, right? So what's the point in the discussions? A lot can change between then and now.

Personally, I think if he's in discussions with PSG then it's for a transfer this summer.
