Alexis Sanchez

Simple really - Sanchez would be a bonus for us but if he goes to The Rags he would be as lost as he is at Arsenal - so great to get him but if not hey ho

I still think this is the case. If he was all about the big money he'd of signed for PSG in the summer

Glad we are not bending over for Arsenal and if Sanchez really wants us then he will make it happen now or in the summer. If he goes anywhere else then his heart wasn’t with us so win win.

This Sets a great example moving forward to other clubs we deal with.

Just hope we don’t regret it over £5- £10 mil. I would love him here now but if not then we get another top younger striker in the summer.

The fact utd are trying to out bid us shows how far we have come. He might as well stay at arsenal than swap for Utd.

The fact no deal done surprisingly fills me with more confidence

deadline day going to be epic

Why can’t we win the champions league this season?

its not possible for me right now and we are a very good young side and in time yes but we have too many better teams still in the competition and one of the big teams will get a result from the bones of a disaster and the unlikely thing happens and the officials give them a dodgy pen or something manchester city have not got that yet

one big thing i fear this season is facing one of the big uefa teams like madrid or barca in the final and we get rolled over by the officials just ask arsenal

Well we should just go for Greizmann in June then for a 100 million Euros if the Rags are really contemplating the 25 mill+ Mkhi (I don't believe they would go that high).. He won't be taking 400k per week, probably be on half of that. I would prefer Sanchez by a hair over him but Greizmann has age on his side.

Alexis isn't worth disturbing the squad harmony if the rumored 400k per week is true. Only Ronaldo, Messi and maybe to an extent Neymar are worth the effort and difference of 150k to our next highest earner.

It's all a bit deja vu. The gradual pattern of negative briefings from the press (we won't meet offer followed by another club expressing interest etc etc) being counteracted by reassuring views on here. Plus there's no doubt as a club we've decided to make a stand on agents.

Having said all that, perhaps naively, I still hope his desire to play for Pep will override everything.

All this "I wouldn't be bothered if Alexis Sanchez went to United" is staggering.
Yes we're doing well but we need to keep it up with busy and pressure fixtures ahead.
Lose on Sunday it's 12 points - still got to go away to Arse, Spuds as well as the innevitable blips. Of course we could win at all of them but better to sign further quality when it's clear we can.

Says the gloryhunter who joined just last month to somebody who is in this forum since 2006. Nice.

Its hilarious how people talk about AS like he is the 17y old Messi. This guy massively declined from last year. And it will not get better. He is probably even trying to make his best impression because of contracts talks. A 100m pound player? LOL. In 3-4y his resale value is ZERO.
What the Fuck does when you joined a forum have any bearing on anything ?

I would be surprised if Sanchez goes to the scum this window. Whatever they are offering will still be on the table in the summer, if not more. They aren’t going to win the league and are not good enough to win the CL. The only possible trophy is the FA Cup. Arsenal are already in a cup semi final and could win the Europa League, so why would he commit himself to the scum? His best option would be to sit tight and have many more options in the summer which will probably make him a lot more money.

Remember when every player we signed was a mercenary? Only playing for the money? If he does end up at United then that just illustrates who is really signing the mercenaries and it would say a lot about Sanchez. I would be surprised if he goes there

Looks like United are now favourites, but don’t think anything is decided yet. I’m sure there will be more twists and turns along the way. Either way, I won’t be “embarrassed” if we don’t get him. A bit disappointed maybe, but we’re in pretty good shape as it is!

Whether we get him or not....we're still top of the league!;)

The way I look at it is, in the last 8-10months 2/3 forwards have sold for 140mil plus and here we have one of the best in the prem, in his peak, only 6months away from a free transfer and available for a fraction of the cost...without question...."if" Arsenal wanting 35mil....we should pay it! Walking away, we could miss on one of the best and likely strengthen another top 6 side (if rags rumours are true!)

Get it done Blues!!!;)

This is just as likely to happen, as it's been happening domestically for quite a while. We FOCs in CBL3 bemoan the fact every game that we have, goals wise, we have to take the game out of the ref's hands and secure the win before he can begin massaging some of the incidents in the game.

He would help us win the quadruple without a doubt - allow us to rotate more. He will certainly improve scum. I’m disappointed at the change in circumstances & think we should pay what it takes.
