Or we have bid & we the fans are not privy to it, or maybe we've not bid because we are doing a deal elsewhere on the quiet. Perhaps this is why we haven't heard anything? I love reading comments like why didn't we just bid 70m in July and get him over the line, it doesn't work like that. If we bid 70m, Arsenal would reject and the price would go up. We would end up paying 90m. Negotiation 101.
